This policy explains how Powertrade Industries Pty Ltd, ABN 94 673 907 250, trading as Powertrade Industries ("we", "us" or "our"), handles personal information through our business, website and client and job management platform.

We may collect:

  • names;
  • email addresses;
  • billing addresses;
  • addresses where work is performed;
  • job, quote and invoice information; and
  • an ABN where the customer is a business.

We use personal information to:

  • arrange and perform electrical work;
  • communicate about jobs;
  • prepare quotes and invoices;
  • maintain service, warranty and compliance records;
  • send job-related and automated emails;
  • operate and secure our client and job management platform; and
  • meet our legal, tax, licensing and regulatory obligations.

We only use or disclose information for these purposes or where otherwise authorised or required by law.

3. Storage and Service Providers

Our client and job management platform uses third-party technology providers, including SashiDo for platform and backend hosting and Amazon Web Services (AWS) for processing and communications.

These providers may process or store information using infrastructure located in Australia or overseas.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information and to use reputable service providers.

4. Access Within Our Business

Access to stored client records is limited to authorised personnel who require access for their role and have been trained in privacy and compliance.

Other employees do not have general access to stored client information. Field staff may receive the limited job information needed to perform their work.

5. Retention

We retain job and client records after a job is completed where reasonably required for accounting, warranty, safety, licensing, legal or compliance purposes.

Information is deleted or de-identified when it is no longer reasonably required, subject to our recordkeeping obligations.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access and disclosure.

No online system is completely secure, but we limit access and review our systems and service providers as reasonably necessary.

7. Access and Correction

A person may contact us to request access to, or correction of, their personal information.

We may need to verify the person's identity before responding.
